Uni-Extrude is for conversion of formulated mass into cylindrical shaped extrudates
Extrusion is done by applying pressure to the mass until it flows through an orifice or defined opening.
These extruders are available in various configurations like depending on the mechanism how the pressure is transmitted to flowing mass, like:
• Screw extruders,
• Die-roller extruders,
• Basket extruders
• Ram extruders.
Types of Uni-Extrude Systems
Uniextrude is for conversion of formulated mass into cylindrical shaped extrudates
Screw Extruders:
Product is pushed from feed hopper to to pressing flutes or rollers by rotating screws. Pressing flutes extrude the mass through holes present on die plated.
Die-roller Extruders:
By combination of die-roller and knurling roller cylindrical extruders are produced by cutting blade present on inner surface of die-roller.
Basket Extruders:
They are vertical extruders that press the formulated mass through perforated mesh.
Hot Melt Extruders:
They are a modification of screw extruders where a carefully controlled heaters, heat the barrel and conducts the heat to the product. The molten polymeric mass extruded form the die plates.
